We get asked this question a lot, and it usually goes a little something like this…

“I have four SwitchBot Curtain devices at home, how can I use them at the same time? I don’t want to keep controlling them one by one.”

Have the same issue? If yes, then read on. This blog should help you answer a few questions.

Firstly, and most importantly, you need a SwitchBot Hub Mini!

SwitchBot Hub Mini is installed as a part of your smart home ecosystem, and helps you link multiple devices together, which helps make automation scenarios way more interesting.

Set up your own “Scene”.

Grab a Hub Mini, set it up, and open the SwitchBot app, click the “Scene” button located at the bottom of your app menu and enter, then tap the “+” sign in the upper right corner to continue.

Add conditions and commands.

When selecting a trigger, choose “manual execution” and tell SwitchBot Curtain to open in dual-mode. Add both groups of devices.

Name it, test it.

Click add name, and test your scenario to make sure everything works properly.

Give yourself a voice.

You can also now control your devices using voice commands thanks to Hub Mini by using third-party services such as Alexa, which definitely makes life a lot easier, and pretty intuitive too.

Now, enjoy a symphony of opening curtains. You can also close them all simultaneously whenever you want. Everything is not connected in one ball of amazing curtain-ness. Tired and don’t want to get up? No worries, close ’em. Making popcorn for a movie and need your curtains closed whilst you’re busy? Close ’em. Even have all your curtains open in the morning to help yourself wake up to natural sunlight.

Besides this, Hub Mini can also be used to mimic remote controls that you might have lying around at home thanks to its ability to learn and copy infrared signals, which means you can get rid of all those hideous annoying remotes and consolidate everything into one place. So, what are waiting for?
